The wide, timber decked balcony, accessed from the reception rooms, provides the perfect space to enjoy the magnificent views and steps lead down to the riverside gardens which are laid mainly to lawn with terraced gardens set in the bank and planted with a range of mature shrubs and perennial plants. There are many mature trees in the grounds including horse chestnut, silver birch and flowering cherry which provide privacy and a stunning backdrop for this lovely setting with its south and westerly aspect. A further area of garden with summerhouse, terrace and decked jetty and mooring is accessed through a gate from the main garden. The river frontage of approximately 477 feet has a slipway and mooring and this particular stretch of the Thames can be enjoyed without locks between Cleeve and Benson some 6.5 miles distant.
