The Story

Beautiful new home Red Oak House has been built with a lifestyle of leisure and delight in mind, according to the current owner. Not only does it feature magnificent interior spaces and glorious views out across the fields but it also incorporates some wonderful extras.
“The basement has everything you could ever want in it – a cinema room, gym, games room and sauna,” he said.
“On top of that there are the facilities here to keep horses or ponies should the new owners chose.”

The magnificent red brick country home offers four floors of accommodation. Visitors will step into a fabulous entrance hall, where a stunning bespoke oak staircase sweeps up to a galleried landing.
When the new owners host parties, they will be able to hand their guests an aperitif before moving on through the rest of the ground floor, into the large drawing room with its feature fireplace and double doors opening on to the garden, or into the dining room, where sunshine streams through the windows.

The expansive kitchen is very much the family area of the home. Here the new owners will enjoy playing with their children, relaxing over the Sunday papers and taking breakfast with the French windows thrown open on summer mornings.
This stylish area features rich oak cabinets finished with black granite work surfaces. A ceramic tiled floor has been laid throughout, bringing a cool Mediterranean feel to the space.

On the first floor of the house are four bedrooms, including the master suite. With an exquisite curved bay, featuring French windows on to Juliet balconies, this will be the most wonderful place for the new owners to wake in the mornings or to watch as the stars come out at night.

“There are the most beautiful views from the house, out across the lawn and towards the countryside,” he said.
The master bedroom has a dressing room and en suite bathroom.

On the top floor of the house are two further bedrooms. Also spacious, these each have an en suite bathroom, making them ideal for guests, staff or relatives seeking a little privacy.

Once they have settled into their home, which includes eco features, such as a rainwater harvest system, the new owners of Red Oak House are unlikely to ever want to leave again, according to the current owner.
“We have thought of everything and created this wonderful leisure area on the lower ground floor of the house,” he said.

Here there is a cinema room, where they will be able to settle down to long movies and sporting events, a library for quiet times with a good book, and a games room where they can spend time potting a few balls with friends.
“There is a relaxation area, gym and sauna,” he said. “It will be the perfect place to work out or relax.”

And he added: “This house will make someone a wonderful home. It is in a lovely open area, which is very sought-after, has beautiful vistas and includes some really wonderful features.”

Ground Floor
The first glimpse of Red Oak House with its commanding exterior is sure to impress, and raises expectations as to what lies behind the immaculate front door. You are aware that this is a wonderful mix of a thoroughly modern development and old, established country living. Stepping through the front door you find yourself in the light and airy reception hall, with its high ceilings, bespoke Oak staircase, ceramic tiled floor and decorative plasterwork. Immediately you notice the attention to detail and beautiful decor that is apparent throughout this wonderful house. Double casement doors lead from the reception hall into the elegant dining room which has a bay window and three sets of French windows looking out over the attractive garden. The drawing room is sophisticated and inviting with French windows that open onto the terrace area at the rear of the house, making this a fabulous area for entertaining guests.

The luxury kitchen has a plethora of stylish cabinets providing plenty of storage, while a convenient central island allows an abundance of space to prepare meals. There is also a wonderful family sitting area, dining area and a utility room. You can easily imagine that this expanse will be the hub of a busy home with plenty of space for a growing family, whether they are watching television, relaxing on the sofa or concentrating on homework at the kitchen table.

Double doors lead into the exquisite master bedroom suite, which boasts a dressing room and separate en-suite shower room. Three sets of French windows form a bay, while a Juliet balcony overlooks the garden, this would be a wonderful and peaceful place to wake up. The remaining bedrooms are all well proportioned and presented to a high standard.

Second Floor Accommodation
A further staircase leads to the upper floor with a spacious landing and two good sized bedrooms each with its own en-suite. This would make ideal accommodation for guests or for relatives seeking a little privacy.

Setting the Scene

The beautiful grounds at Red Oak House make it the perfect country residence. Set in approximately just under 2.5 acres of garden (stms), paddock and English countryside, it features some superb places to walk and is a wonderful natural habitat for wildlife.

The formal gardens have been professionally landscaped and include stretches of lawn, mature trees and hedgerow. A curved terrace is the perfect place to sit on summer days and balmy evenings, while subtle lighting comes into its own later on and for parties.
The grounds include the equestrian facilities and there is planning permission for an outdoor swimming pool.

There is also a rainwater harvesting system.
